PROCESSING
COMMUNITY
DAY
AMSTERDAM

A half-day of code that draws.
Of systems that surprise.
Of a community that builds in the open.

Code is one of art's
newest materials.

Processing Community Day (PCD) is a global network of locally organized events celebrating the Processing programming language and the creative coding community it has built over more than two decades.

Amsterdam's edition is a free afternoon of workshops, talks, and live coding. We welcome anyone who makes things with code, or wants to start.

Whether you have written one sketch or one thousand, you belong here. English-language event. All skill levels welcome.

A single afternoon.
Four acts.

We are curating presentations for the Open Systems block of PCD Amsterdam 2026. Each slot is 15 minutes: 10 minutes of presentation followed by 5 minutes of audience questions.

We actively encourage applications from people who have never presented before. You do not need a polished final product. You need something worth thinking about together.

We are looking for:

  • Generative visual systems: parametric, algorithmic, or data-driven
  • Interactive installations: physical or digital, finished or in-progress
  • Process talks - how a project was made: the logic, the failures, the discoveries
  • Live coded performance: works demonstrated in real time

What we are not looking for:

  • Commercial product pitches
  • Work unrelated to computational or generative practice

What to submit:

  • Your name and a short bio (100 words max)
  • Title and description of your work (200 words max)
  • One link: project URL, video, or image
  • Your intended presentation format

Applications reviewed by a panel of community members. We aim to respond within three weeks of the deadline.
